Stop Gluing Five Apps Together

POS in one place, ordering in another, kitchen somewhere else. Here's why that falls apart on Friday.

Nobody plans to run five products. It happens gradually. A POS for the counter. An online ordering plugin because guests asked. A marketplace tablet once delivery picked up. A spreadsheet for labour. Another spreadsheet because nobody trusts the reports.

Each piece solves a small problem. Together they create a bigger one: the kitchen never quite sees the same order everyone else thinks they sent.

"Integrations" on a sales page aren't the same as one system. Connected means an online order, a phone order, and a counter order produce the same kind of ticket and show up in the same reporting. Staff shouldn't translate between apps mid-rush.

Pizza shops notice first because modifiers get weird. But any restaurant with a make line and delivery promises hits the same wall.

Extra tablets mean extra logins and extra places for a topping note to vanish. Marketplaces can still bring customers. They shouldn't be the operating system of your shop.

When you demo software, ask them to use your menu. Ask what happens when a ticket is wrong. Ask what a second location inherits from the first. If the answer involves three products and a prayer, keep looking.

ApexSlice puts POS, ordering, KDS, kitchen print, delivery, staff, and reporting in one place. We started with pizza shops; it works for other busy restaurants too. Happy to walk through your setup on a demo.
