Why Owning Your Online Ordering Still Matters
Marketplaces are fine for discovery. They get expensive when they become how your kitchen runs.
Delivery apps are good at putting you in front of hungry people. They're worse at loyalty, margins, and keeping the kitchen in sync with what the guest actually ordered.
When someone orders on your own site, you control the menu, the upsells, and the customer data. More importantly, that order can hit the kitchen the same way a walk-in does. Same ticket format. Same rules. Fewer surprises.
Free-text notes on marketplace tablets are where things go sideways. Half-and-half builds, remakes, weird modifiers. Pizza shops learned this the hard way. Lots of other restaurants are living it now.
You don't have to quit marketplaces overnight. Plenty of shops keep them for reach and run ApexSlice (or another real stack) as the system that owns the counter, branded ordering, kitchen, and drivers.
On a demo we'll look at your current channels and point at where you're paying in labour for the mess. No slide deck required.
