Privacy Policy

Last updated August 8, 2026

ApexSlice is a technology platform for restaurants, operated from Barrie, Ontario, Canada. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

1. What we collect

Information you give us. When you book a demo, we collect what you type into the form:

  • Your name (required)
  • Your business name (required)
  • Your email address (required)
  • Your phone number (optional)
  • The number of locations you operate (optional)
  • Anything you write in the message field (optional)

We also record the date and time the request was submitted. That is the entire form. We do not ask for payment details, government identification, or any other sensitive information anywhere on this site.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard technical data when you visit: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and referring page. This is used to serve the site, keep it secure, and understand which pages are useful.

2. Why we collect it

Demo request information is used for one purpose: to contact you about your request and to prepare a demo that reflects how your business actually runs. That is it.

We do not add you to a marketing list without asking, we do not sell or rent personal information to anyone, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Technical data is used in aggregate to keep the site fast, available, and secure.

4. Who we share it with

We share personal information only with service providers that operate this site on our behalf, and only to the extent they need it:

  • Vercel (website hosting and content delivery)
  • Web3Forms (receiving and delivering demo request submissions)
  • Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights (website analytics)

These providers are bound to use the information only to provide their service to us. We do not sell personal information, and we do not disclose it to anyone else except where required by law.

5. Where your information is stored

Our service providers operate servers in the United States and other countries. This means your personal information may be stored and processed outside of Canada, and while it is there it may be accessible to courts, law enforcement, and government authorities of that country under their laws.

If you would prefer not to submit information through this website, you can reach us directly by phone or email instead. See section 12.

6. How long we keep it

Personal information you submit through the demo form (name, business, email, phone, and message) is kept for 24 months from our last contact with you about that request. “Last contact” means the last email, call, or reply we exchanged with you about that demo request. After that period we delete it from our records, including copies held by Web3Forms for form delivery. If you ask us to delete it sooner, we will, unless we are required by law to keep a limited record.

7. Cookies and analytics

This site does not use advertising cookies and does not run third-party ad trackers. Analytics are used only to understand which pages are visited and how quickly they load.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site works with cookies disabled.

8. Your rights

Under PIPEDA, you have the right to:

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct it if it is wrong
  • Ask us to delete it
  • Withdraw your consent to being contacted
  • Complain to us, and to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada if you are not satisfied with our response

Email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. There is no charge.

9. Security

The site is served over HTTPS, and demo request submissions are transmitted encrypted. Access to submitted requests is limited to the people at ApexSlice who need it to respond to you.

No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we will tell you promptly if a breach affects your information.

10. Children

This is a business-to-business site and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the “last updated” date at the top. Material changes affecting how we use information already collected will be communicated directly to anyone affected.
