Restaurant Automation That Starts at the Order

Orders flow from the phone, the web, and the counter straight to the kitchen, the printer, and the driver, with no re-typing. POS, online ordering, KDS, delivery, and AI ordering in one automated system.

Restaurant automation isn't robots in the kitchen. For most shops it means the boring work stops depending on someone remembering to do it: re-keying a phone order, carrying a ticket to the line, texting a driver, totalling the night in a spreadsheet.

What ApexSlice automates

Orders land in one place. Counter, phone, online, and AI-taken orders all enter the same POS and produce the same kind of ticket, so the kitchen never translates between apps.

The kitchen gets the order without anyone touching it. The kitchen display updates the moment an order is placed, and the kitchen print app fires a paper chit at the same time for stations that still want one.

The phone does more of the work. Caller ID pulls up the customer, their address, and their last orders before staff say hello, and the AI ordering agent can take calls and turn them into structured orders when the line is slammed.

Delivery rules apply themselves. Draw your delivery zones once; the right fee, minimum, and promise time apply automatically at checkout for every address. Dispatch shows active deliveries, driver assignments, and live status in one view.

Reporting is already done at close. Sales by day, channel, pickup vs delivery, best sellers, peak hours, and store performance come from the same orders, not from a spreadsheet someone rebuilds on Monday.

Why one system matters

Automation breaks at the seams between products. When ordering, kitchen, and delivery come from different vendors, every "integration" is another place a modifier or a note can vanish. ApexSlice keeps it on one platform, so automating one step does not create a cleanup job in the next.

Custom automation for your shop

Some of the most useful automation is specific to one restaurant: a pricing rule, an odd workflow, an integration a big vendor won't build. Our engineers build those. Cocelli Pizza in Barrie runs ApexSlice with custom work other companies wouldn't take on.

What is restaurant automation?

Software that moves orders and information through the restaurant without staff re-typing or relaying them: from the order (counter, phone, online, or AI) to the kitchen screen and printer, to delivery dispatch, to reporting.

Do I need to replace everything at once?

No. Many shops start with the parts that hurt most, like online ordering and the kitchen display, and keep their existing drivers or delivery setup. The driver app is optional.

Can you automate something specific to my restaurant?

Often, yes. Custom workflows and integrations that bigger POS companies turn down are a regular part of what our engineers build.
